School Starts.....

School has officially started, but I'm having a hard time just getting to the start line. It's only been two days, and we've already forgotten homework assignments and Bible readings. I have yet to fully read all the necessary info, sign the forms and get the uniforms in order. Ethan is surviving on one pair of shorts. Christian's shoes are two sizes too big. We completely missed the school picnic (we thought it was Sunday, but it was Saturday), and we decided to go golfing instead of attending the open house. At the open house, we were supposed to get all that necessary paperwork, meet the teachers, get acquainted with the classrooms. Instead, we played. My kids went to school their first day not knowing where their rooms were. Oh, well. In a school with barely 60 kids, does it really matter? I'm just praying that all of this irresponsibility on my part doesn't multiply! And, to top it off, I got into a little scuffle with the Head of School on the second day. So those are the circumstances, but I am at peace with it all. I am glad to leave behind the anxiety of last year, the uncertainty of a first year at Clapham. We survived...barely. This year I think we'll thrive, despite ourselves.

See what an incredible quality of love the Father has bestowed on us that we should be called children of God! 1John 3:1

Jesus says to you, “I in them, and Thou in Me that they may be perfected in unity that the world may know that Thou did send Me, and did love them (that means YOU) even as Thou did love Me..
The Father loves you as much as He loves Jesus! How awesome is that?

Rejoice in your peace (that is really His peace He has given you) when all things seem so imperfect. He never called us to be perfect in ourselves…only through Jesus are we perfect in His eyes.
Our gift of righteousness relieves us of having to have perfect kids, perfect marriage, perfect lives, or perfect anything. That is what peace is all about—Jesus! Grace! Infinite Love!
Happy BD!
